Discovery Call

Book the call. Start the climb.

Thirty minutes. Free. The first fifteen are yours — you talk, I listen. If we’re a fit, I’ll show you the tier that matches where you actually are. If we’re not, I’ll point you somewhere better. No pressure, no high-volume pitch, no script.

How The Call Runs

Four blocks. Thirty minutes. No fluff.

Most discovery calls are thinly disguised sales pitches. This one isn’t. Here’s the actual structure I use — the same one I’ve refined across every paying client I’ve onboarded.

01

Connect — 5 min

“Before we dive in, tell me what made you finally decide to reach out today.” That’s the opening. No icebreaker chatter.

02

Diagnose — 15 min

Your goals, your struggles, what’s stopped you before, what life looks like in 12 months if nothing changes. This is the part where you talk.

03

Prescribe — 5 min

I reflect back what I heard. Name the real problem (usually structure + accountability, not motivation). Walk through which tier fits.

04

Invite — 5 min

Direct close. Yes today, 48-hour follow-up, or “not a fit right now” — all three are clean outcomes. No chasing.

Step 1 of 2

Pick a time that works.

Choose a 30-minute slot below. Once you book, you’ll get a confirmation email with the Zoom link and a short pre-call intake form. Fill the intake out before we hop on — it makes the time we have together far more useful.

All times shown in your local timezone. Calls run Monday–Friday with a few evening slots for clients on the East Coast. If nothing fits, hit the request form below this section.

Before You Book

  • Have 30 quiet minutes — not in the car, not between meetings
  • Pen and paper or a notes app open
  • If you’re managing diabetes, know your most recent A1C if you have it
  • Show up honest — the more real, the more useful

After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email plus the pre-call intake form. Show-up rate matters — if something comes up, please reschedule, don’t no-show.

Step 2 of 2

Pre-call intake.

If you already know the booking is happening, you can fill the intake right now — it’ll save you from doing it after you book. Five questions. Takes most people under five minutes. Plain talk is fine — encouraged, actually.

Everything you submit here is private. I don’t share, sell, or publish what clients tell me. If anything you write here ever ends up in a story I tell from the stage or on social, it’s only with your explicit written permission.

Why I Ask

Coaching isn’t one-size-fits-all. A diabetic client coming back from hospitalization needs a different opening 30 days than a veteran rebuilding after burnout. The intake lets me show up to our call already understanding the shape of your fight — so we don’t spend our 30 minutes on logistics.

Coaching does not replace medical care. You stay in conversation with your physician. I’ll always defer to them on clinical questions.

After submitting, you’ll get a confirmation email with the link to book your 30-minute slot.

Honest Answers

What people ask before booking

“Is the call really free?”

Yes. Thirty minutes, no charge, no card. If we’re a fit, I’ll show you tiers. If we’re not, you walk away with at least one concrete next step you didn’t have when you booked.

“What if I’m not ready to commit?”

Book anyway. About 1 in 3 people who get on the call need 48 hours to think it through or talk to a spouse. That’s fine. I follow up once, clearly, then leave the ball in your court.

“Will you pressure me on the call?”

No. I’m a Marine veteran, not a high-pressure sales bro. The first 15 minutes is you talking — that’s the rule. If I think we’re a fit, I’ll say so directly. If not, I’ll tell you that too.

“Can I do this if I have Type 2 diabetes?”

Yes — this is a big part of who I coach. Programming is diabetes-aware, and you stay in conversation with your physician. Bring your most recent A1C to the call if you have it.

“What if I’ve never worked with a coach before?”

Most of my clients haven’t. They’ve tried Noom, Planet Fitness, MyFitnessPal, and free YouTube workouts — that’s exactly the audience this was built for. You don’t need experience. You need a starting line.

“What happens after I book?”

Three things: a confirmation email with the Zoom link, the pre-call intake form (if you haven’t filled it out yet), and a short 2-minute video from me with what to expect. Then we get on the call.

Who Should Book

This call is for you if…

You’re ready to talk straight

You’ve carried something quiet — a diagnosis, a weight, a setback — and you’re ready to stop pretending it’s fine. This call is a clean place to say it out loud to someone who’s been there.

You want a real coach, not an app

You’ve tried the free tools. They didn’t hold you accountable because they can’t. You’re ready for a human on the other end — one who answers Trainerize check-ins personally.

You’re between 28 and 55

Adults rebuilding mid-life after something real — diabetes, divorce, trauma, burnout, sudden weight gain. Veterans, faith-driven folks, men quietly carrying chronic conditions. That’s the room.

You want sustainable, not aesthetic

You’re not chasing influencer abs. You want to manage a chronic condition safely, build discipline that lasts past Q1, and walk into rooms with the dignity of someone who runs his own body again.

One Decision

Thirty minutes can change the next thirty years.

I spent two years in a hospital bed unable to walk or speak. The day I decided to climb back didn’t feel like much. It looked like one small decision in a quiet room. This is yours. Book the call.
